Dear ⊗:

\JEnclosed is my paper, \F3The Bankruptcy of BASIC\F1, that I wish to have
considered for the Third National Educational Computing Conference.
I realize that it doesn't fit any of the prescribed areas for submission
and further that I do not fit any of your prescribed areas for authors.
However, I feel quite strongly that  my viewpoint is quite relevant to the
purpose of your organization and that this view is not being adequately 
represented if my experience at the San Diego WECC  is any indication
of the current state of affairs. I was sorely disappointed with the scope of 
that conference.

If computing devices are to take a meaningful place in the educational
scene then serious modifications to present curricula must occur. \F3Bankruptcy\F1
outlines some of those changes, particularly with respect to 
high school mathematics curicula.
